Lagree: Level 1 Certification

The Level 1 Lagree Certification is the foundational training course for aspiring Lagree instructors or enthusiasts. This comprehensive program introduces participants to the core principles, methodology, and movements of the Lagree method, which combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, and flexibility in a low-impact, high-intensity workout.

Through hands-on instruction and theoretical coursework, trainees learn:

  • The science and philosophy behind Lagree Fitness

  • Safe and effective use of the Megaformer

  • Standard class structure and cueing techniques

  • Core Lagree exercises, modifications, and transitions

  • Proper form, tempo, and resistance settings for various fitness levels

  • Best practices for coaching, motivation, and class management

Upon successful completion, participants will be certified to teach Lagree classes at Lagree licensed studios and prepared to advance to higher certification levels.

About Amy Teter

As one of just eight Senior Master Trainers for Lagree Fitness worldwide, Amy brings nearly two decades of experience, passion, and precision to every class and certification she leads. Since founding her Pilates studio in her home in 2007, she’s expanded Centered WV to offer Barre, TRX Suspension Training, Versa Climber, and Lagree Fitness.

When she’s not traveling internationally to lead Level 1 and 2 Lagree certification courses, Amy can be found in the Centered WV studio weekly—on the mic, on the Mega, and deeply invested in her clients and team.

FORM BY TWO Level 1 Mentorship Program

This Mentorship Program is designed for individuals who are serious about launching a career in Lagree instruction with the highest level of preparation and support. In addition to foundational certification, this program includes guided mentorship, hands-on teaching experience, and dedicated self-practice opportunities — all geared toward preparing you for a successful audition and potential teaching role at FORM BY TWO.

Program Includes:

  • Lagree Level 1 Certification – Comprehensive training on Lagree principles, core exercises, Megaformer, class structure, cueing, safety, and modifications.

  • Studio Access for Practice Teaching & Class Observation – Observe experienced instructors in action and refine your teaching skills in a supportive environment.

  • Mock Classes & Feedback Sessions – Lead practice classes and receive constructive feedback to improve your technique, confidence, and class presence.

This mentorship track is ideal for those who want a structured path from certification to real-world teaching. Whether you're new to Lagree or transitioning from another modality, this immersive experience sets you up for success in the studio and beyond.

  • 18 hours in-studio certification

  • 2 months of class observation (schedule permitting)

  • 10 studio practice hours

  • 2 hours Observed Practice Teaching + feedback session

  • 2 Mock classes + detailed feedback session
